How to grow 1 standard tray(33cmx22cm) of Black Sunflower
1. Soak 50g of seeds in warm water(30 degrees) for 12-18 hours, and drain off the water.
2. Immerse in the water again and drain straight away.
3. Put some compost in a seed tray about 2cm deep and sprinkle the soaked seeds on top and spread evenly.
4. Keep at room temp for 2-3 days, watering just enough to keep the seeds moist. On the 3rd or 4th day, once seeds have germinated, put the tray in a light place, the brighter the better.
5. After 10-14 days the greens will be approx 7-10cm high and will be at their optimum nutritional value. The greens are now ready to harvest and eat.
6. Cut just above compost level and rinse before use.
7. You can keep the cut shoots in a container in the fridge for several days.
